Who we are
GHL Apps is an independent project run by a small editorial team of GoHighLevel agency operators and independent reviewers. We are not affiliated with HighLevel Inc. — GoHighLevel™ is their trademark. We built this directory because the existing marketplace experience makes it hard to find genuinely good apps under the volume of new listings, and because most “best of GHL apps” lists on the web are pay-to-play affiliate content.
The site is intentionally simple: a searchable, filterable list of every app in the GHL marketplace, plus community upvotes, reviews, and ratings. No sponsored top-of-list placements. No affiliate links rewriting our recommendations.
Our editorial principles
Every editorial decision on this site follows four standards:
- Independence. We don’t accept payment for ranking, featuring, or favourable mentions of any app. App makers can claim their listing and respond to reviews — they cannot pay to alter sort order, ratings, or visibility.
- Real users only. Reviews and upvotes come from authenticated agency accounts. Our anti-spam systems detect and remove fake reviews, vote rings, and duplicate accounts.
- Transparency. If we ever do recommend an app — in a roundup, blog post, or comparison — the reasoning is shown alongside the recommendation. If a relationship exists (e.g., a maker shared early access), it’s disclosed in-line.
- Continuous correction. Apps change. Pricing changes, ownership changes, quality drifts. We update listings as the underlying data changes and welcome corrections from readers and makers via contact@appsforghl.com.
How ratings work
Each app on the directory has two distinct social-proof signals, which we deliberately keep separate:
- Star ratings (1–5) are written reviews submitted by authenticated users. The displayed average is a straight mean across all verified reviews. Anonymous, first-time, or low-quality accounts are weighted down or quarantined for moderation.
- Upvotes (“I use it”) are usage indicators — a vote means the agency genuinely runs the app, not that they like it. We use this to surface apps that are actually being used in production, not just installed for a demo.
We don’t show official GHL marketplace ratings on app detail pages without labelling them as such — those numbers come directly from HighLevel, and we display them in a separate panel marked “On GHL Marketplace” so it’s clear they’re not the community-driven figure.
How we choose what to feature
Featured apps and editorial roundups (e.g. our use-case landing pages and blog articles) are selected based on objective criteria: community upvotes, written review quality, install counts where available, and category fit. We do not accept payment, equity, or affiliate revenue in exchange for feature placement.
When a relationship exists between an app maker and the editorial team — for example, when a maker has provided early access, technical support, or sample data for a comparison — that relationship is disclosed in the article itself.
How content is updated
App listings are refreshed on a rolling basis from public GoHighLevel marketplace data and from updates submitted by makers who claim their listing. Editorial articles include a last updated date and are revised when the underlying landscape changes — for example, when a featured app changes pricing, gets acquired, or is removed from the marketplace.
Significant changes (e.g., a sort order change, a methodology update, a correction to a published article) are noted in the article’s update history.

Affiliate & sponsorship policy
We do not currently run affiliate programs with the apps in our directory. If we ever introduce affiliate links — for example, on a paid plan that doesn’t affect rankings — they will be disclosed in plain language on this page and on every affected article. Sponsored content, if introduced, will be labelled Sponsored at the top of the article and excluded from rankings, ratings, and editorial roundups.
