The Age Verification widget helps you restrict access to age-sensitive content by prompting users to confirm their age before entering your website. It’s perfect for businesses that operate in regulated industries like alcohol, tobacco, adult content, gaming, or any age-restricted services. This simple yet essential tool ensures responsible content delivery and legal compliance.

1. Choose a Layout

What you’ll see:

• Layout options such as Popup Overlay, Full-Screen Blocker, or Header Bar Prompt

• A Continue with this template button

What to do:

• Preview the available layouts

• Select the layout that best fits your site’s style and click Continue

2. Use the Main Tabs

Once a layout is selected, you’ll manage the widget through three main tabs:

• Content – Set your age prompt message and button labels

• Style – Adjust the design, colors, fonts, and layout style

• Settings – Define verification logic and behavior rules

3. Customize the Age Gate

Content Tab

Set up the core message and user interface:

• Title Message – Write a heading like “Are You 18 or Older?”

• Description Text – Add a short explanation or legal disclaimer if needed

• Button Labels – Customize confirmation and decline buttons (e.g., “Yes, I Am” / “No, Exit”)

• Date of Birth Input (Optional) – Add an input field to request exact date of birth

• Redirect Option – Choose where to send users who do not meet the age requirement

This tab controls what the visitor sees and how they respond.

Style Tab

Adjust the appearance of the widget:

• Layout Format – Choose between center popup, full-page overlay, or top bar

• Typography – Customize fonts, sizes, and text alignment

• Color Scheme – Set background, button, and text colors

• Overlay Opacity – Add dimming to the background if using a popup

• Button Style – Adjust shape, size, and hover animations

Match the widget's style to your site's design for a smooth user experience.

Settings Tab

Control how the verification works:

• Verification Logic – Choose between button confirmation or date-based validation

• Remember User Choice – Set a cookie duration (e.g., remember for 30 days)

• Page Load Behavior – Decide if the widget should appear on all pages or specific ones

• Exit Behavior – Choose whether to redirect, block, or close the window if the user is underage

• Custom Code (Optional) – Add CSS or JavaScript for advanced behavior

Ensure your verification flow complies with your industry and local laws.
